1996 - Our retirement dream before the ‘dozer and workers came in to clear.
1997-1998 - Dozed and first plantings,
1998 - Our first “woofers”
2000 - Graeme and Greg, our brother-in-law, working the four rows we thought they could manage while we were in Australia.
2000 - Vivienne spraying gorse.
2002 – After the dozers came back, cleared, levelled, ripped pan.
2003 Some of our first olives.
Holidays in New Zealand were all spent tidying up around shelter belts and trees.
2003 saw our little Keith Hay cottage arrive. A place to stay, a roof to catch water.
Our 2004 planting – with a borrowed quad and trailer.
2005 Our first harvest, sister Karen and Vivienne and picking. We now wish the trees were still that size!
2005 Our first bin of olives.
2006 – Harvest number 2. This time a trailer load. A bit green, but we only had three weeks holiday and couldn’t wait. Still beautiful oil!
One of the main chores – mowing!
2013 – Our dream being realised - lots of love and care not to mention sweat to achieve these park like results.
2013 – the peaceful outlook from the Apartment.
2014 – Our main pond, one of three drainage ponds on our block. Home to two families of ducks.
